Welcome to my page. Good to see you made it over here. And hey, now that you’re here, let me tell you a bit more about who I am. At the core: I am William. Born and raised in the Netherlands. And frankly, if you look my family, you’d say I am very Dutch. I’d like to put that up for debate though.

I am international

From the moment I finished secondary school, I have always been active in international environments. My university years were very international, including time abroad in Ghana. Also beyond graduation though, I always operated in multinational environments, which I deeply appreciate. The languages, the food, the scope of business and the infinitely fascinating cultural backgrounds.

I tell stories

It’s a tagline I created some years ago. Or maybe the tagline found me. Nevertheless, I love a good story, both listening to and telling them myself. Because I believe that stories make the world go round. Even you are making a story right now. Because we don’t remember facts. We remember how things made us feel. And that’s what we’ll be telling onwards.

I am a marketing professional

Already during my university years, I was fascinated by the marketing domain but it wasn’t until just before the COVID pandemic that I came to deeply appreciate the marketing profession. The everlasting quest to spin narratives towards target audiences. Realizing the craziest ideas, that make people go “wow!”. Always in the light of business opportunities.

I am a runner

I’ve done a lot of sports throughout my life and enjoyed almost all of them. But it’s running that keeps me going these days. Especially since I’ve moved on beyond 10k’s, working towards a half marathon as we speak, running has almost become therapy. Out in the open, nothing else but your own feelings to beat, I love it.

I’m a geek

Okay. I’ll admit it. I like computers and computers most of the time like me too. From hacking iPhones years ago towards maintaining this website and from my custom-built home automation system to being a proficient Power BI and Data modeling professional. Computers are amazing, and AI is only adding to that.

I’m a stoic adept

It’s life’s journey that ultimately taught me this lesson: if it is to be, it is up to me. There’s much more to say about that, but I’ll keep it there for now.
